JBL EVEREST
JBL’s Everest wireless earphones deliver pro audio quality with Bluetooth ShareMe 2.0, allowing users to easily share music, videos, and games with friends, while active noise-cancelling technology puts full control over ambient sound in the listener’s hands. Combining cutting-edge features with sleek style, JBL needed a premium unboxing experience to reflect their reputation as an innovative and iconic audio brand.

Legendary Sound.
For this packaging design, my goal was to create an unboxing experience that felt as premium and bold as the JBL brand itself. From the moment the user lifts the lid, the striking contrast of matte black and vivid orange creates a sense of excitement and anticipation. The exclamation mark cutout on the foam not only reinforces brand personality but also acts as a subtle teaser for the product inside. Each touchpoint—the snug fit of the headphones, the clearly marked control icons, and the hidden compartment for accessories—was carefully considered to guide the user through a smooth, intuitive unboxing journey that feels both high-end and functional.
Wireless Freedom.
I collaborated closely with a skilled packaging engineer in Shenzhen, China, to bring this vision to life. Working together across time zones, we refined material choices, foam density, and precise cutout tolerances to ensure the product sat perfectly and was well-protected during transit. We tested multiple prototypes to strike the right balance between secure fit and effortless removal, making sure the experience was as satisfying on the first open as it would be after repeated use. The result is a packaging system that’s more than just a box—it’s a stage for the product, designed to immerse the user in JBL’s energy and quality from the very first moment.
